Speaker Biographies
Dr Véronique Chaput is a pharmacist and a general surgeon by training. Completed a fellowship in Palliative Medicine in 2006. On staff at McGill with the Palliative Care Department since.
She works mostly in the outpatient clinics, the palliative care consultation service and the cancer pain clinic. She worked recently on a project for the Cancer Care Mission looking at Care of Oncology Patients in the ER.
She was recently appointed site director for palliative care service at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Ms. Marjorie Mosley is a Registered Nurse currently employed as a nurse educator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Ms. Mosley has over thirty years experience as a registered nurse with the last twelve years in Oncology nursing. She currently holds certifications in Oncology Nursing (OCN®) and Nursing Professional Development. She is a certified trainer for the Oncology Nursing Society’s Chemotherapy Biotherapy 2 day program and their Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Treatment Basics: Antineoplastic Therapy in the Non-Oncology Setting program.
Gail Hinkson is a Human Resource Generalist with over 14 years’ experience having previously worked in HR at PRT Barbados Ltd., Automotive Art Inc., and BS&T Motors Inc. She joined the ICBL, a general and life insurance company in 2000 as the Human Resource Officer and is currently employed as the Manager in the Human Resource Development Department, with primary responsibility for recruitment, training and employee relations.
Gail is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the University of Surrey, U.K., and holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Studies and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management. She also completed certificates in Industrial Relations, Supervisory Management and Law for Human Resource Practitioners.
Dr. Faith Felder – With more than 15 years of practicing medicine in Tampa Bay, Dr. Faith Felder’s goal has been to give patients the care and information they need to get well and stay healthy. A board certified internist (primary care physician), she completed her medical school training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1994. Her residency was also completed in Birmingham at Carraway Methodist Medical Center in 1997.
As a solo practioner, Dr. Felder enjoys being able to give her patients personalized attention. Encouraging them and their families to stay healthy gives her the satisfaction of making a difference in the community.
Mr. Ian Lewis (FRCS) studied for the MBBS in Mona Jamaica. His education at this level was Government funded and he had a strong desire to serve his country in any way he can. He did his internship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 1994 and then worked in the Department of Surgery and Orthopedics. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2000. He has worked in private practice in General Surgery since 2002 and operated at Bayview Hospital. His sub-specialty Interest is Breast Cancer and he has had stints in the General Surgery and Breast Units of Sandwell and Dudley Hospital West Midlands and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital UK.
