Cancer Support Services receives $2500 USD donation

The importance of offering assistance to patients with cancer and their families in Barbados, is one of the main focuses of the Barbados Association of Tampa Bay, as outlined by President of the Association, Henderson Griffith in a presentation ceremony of a cheque in the amount of US $2,500 to the President of the Cancer Support Services, Gloria Antonia Hinds.

Griffith outlined that the funds were collected as a result of two annual fund raising events namely a Weekend Gala and the Dance for hope. In his remarks, he stressed that the relationship enjoyed between the two associations has strengthened the efforts in helping promote and implement the various programmes and initiatives.

In her response, Ms Hinds extended heartfelt thanks to the Association for the donation and the measure of support which they have offered to the Cancer Support Services over the last five years.
