A New Day

A sense of thankfulness fills the air

As I open my eyes to this new day

For some it’s a new beginning,

A fresh start, a ray of hope,

A light in the midst of despair,

And for others it’s a chance

To reflect on the goodness

And the awesomeness of our creator

Who formed and fashioned us

In his image and likeness

So as each new day begins

Let us lift our eyes to the heaven

And acknowledge the love of our father

Who created each new day.
