Despite the showers of blessings or maybe because of them, the Cancer Support Services (CSS) and Christ Is The Answer Radio (CITA) combined team was determined to complete their inaugural walk that was held on August 10, 2013.

Close to two hundred (200) persons were present for the walk on that wet Saturday morning. The walk began at 6:00 a.m. from the University of West Indies, Cave Hill, through Black Rock, Eagle Hall, along President Kennedy Drive and ended at Brandon’s beach. In an encouraging statement, the President of CSS, Gloria Antonia Hinds, said that “there are times when things will challenge us in life so we have to determine what our response will be in order to have a favourable outcome, so with a radical determination we were committed to completing the walk.”
President Hinds also noted that the walk signalled the beginning of a great partnership with CITA radio station and added that “along with our annual luncheon, the walk was another means of raising funds for the organisation.”
